Impromptu Christmas Pictures

There was a Sunday this month when we were actually ready for church early, so I seized the opportunity, and this is what I got....

Painting Faces



So, I added a butterfly to her face...

 We started out painting rocks, but it wasn't long until Kylie decided to start painting her face.

 and a pair of ladybugs to Brandt's face.  Simple, but so much fun!

Snowmen Pizza

Brandt and Kylie had fun making snowmen (and a stocking) pizzas at grandma granny's. 
Brandt decorated and Kylie ate the toppings.

Kylie was ok with Santa as long as she was sitting on her brother's lap,

Not so much when she was on her own.

Brandt on the other hand was happy to talk to him this year and let him know what he wanted-"a hunting game that shoots the TV"

O CHRISTMAS TREE

Thanks to lots of allergies at our house, we now get our tree out of a box-not as fun as a real one, but so much easier!



Kylie and Brandt both loved decorating this year; Kylie has also enjoyed undecorating and has broken a couple ornaments the little turkey,

GINGERBREAD HOUSES AT GRANDMA GRANNY'S 2011

I have never made gingerbread houses at Christmas before, so my mom and I decided to go for it this year (in a simplified manner, of course :) The kids had so much fun and so did we!

As independent as Kylie is, I couldn't believe she let me help her with the icing. 

That was where the helping ended, though.



Brandt had it figured out from the beginning and did a great job decorating without any help.

Sugar Cookies December 2011

Bryce loves sugar cookies.  His mom makes them for every holiday, but he never seems to get his fill of them- especially now that Brandt has also discovered a love for them and fights him for every cookie.  I rarely make them, and now I remember why-what a HUGE project!

Yummy!  Don't worry, he happily ate all the ones he frosted.

And a sample of the finished product.  The kids had fun and their daddy is certainly enjoying the fruits of my labor, so we may attempt this again another time...
