My kids love going to Liberty and spending time at Grandma Hemmert's, and they especially love it when there are cousins there.  Today Brandt and Kylie got to play with the Hankes and Jolie and Bridger.  They had so much fun and didn't want to leave to go home!

Minnetonka Cave and Brandt's Marriage Proposal

In a spontaneous moment today, I decided to take the kids to the cave and we invited Brandt's friend McKenna and her mom Janet to go with us.  We ended up being the only ones in our tour group and we loved it.  Brandt and McKenna are such cute little buddies and I was glad she could come with us, especially since they have been calling each other on the phone lately and asking to play together.  Brandt has been waiting to see her so that he could "propose" since he is pretty positive that they will get married one day.  Just before we got in the car to head home, buddy took McKenna to a spot away from the rest of us and gave her a ring and then asked her to marry him.  She said thank you!  They then decided that they would get married when they get older and she excitedly came to show her ring to her mom. Her mom said something about it being a friendship ring and McKenna quickly informed her that it was much more than that! It was so cute!!

Kylie's New Look

Thanks to a vision screening for Head Start Preschool, we discovered that Kylie has a problem with her vision in one of her eyes.  It is so much worse than the other one that she is on the verge of ending up with a lazy eye.  She was super excited to be able to pick out pink glasses with diamonds on the top.  She has been wearing her sunglasses constantly for months now so she was elated to think that she was getting real glasses.  Unfortunately, she doesn't think they are quite so fun now that they have prescription lenses in them and they make her see "funny".  Her good eye has been doing all the work for so long that it may take a while to get used to using both eyes.  Hopefully we will be able to get her to wear them enough to start to make a difference.

Pugmire Reunion 2014

Our Lamont Pugmire reunion started out the best way possible for us with Savanna time at my mom's.  It still amazes me how much of a calming influence she has on those around her, especially Brandt.  The rest of the reunion was jam-packed with some of our favorite yearly activities plus a few new activities.  We were missing a lot of our family members for various reasons, but we still had so much fun!  I LOVE reunions and having fun with my family and I'm so thankful that I can pass this tradition on to my children.
