1st Annual Lloyd Pugmire Family Reunion

This year we decided to have a smaller reunion just for my mom and dad's family.  SO MUCH FUN!!!!  Brandt looked forward to it for weeks and was so cute when he would ask if it was time for the "Lloyd Pugmire family reunion"-sometimes he would add grandma wanny into the title as well.  Some of the favorite activities were the water slide, sponge dodgeball, painting rocks and faces, a nature hike, relay races, and the fun scrapbook pages my mom had them do.

All 5 grandkids-Brandt, Rylie, Amanda Jean, Kylie, and Mckenzie

Kylie thought she was pretty funny when she painted a little on her own. :)

Brandt painted his own camouflage and then went and hid behind the trees.

Kylie fell asleep on the way up the canyon for the nature hike.  I still love pics of my kids when they are sleeping-so cute and peaceful!

Grandma had a list of items each kid had to find and gather

Buddy got a hold of the camera... notice the crazy elbows!

Just one of Bryce's hidden talents-face painting.

Amanda wanted a bear-not bad, Brycie!

Love her little tongue poking out

Doing the crab walk in one of the relay races

Kicken' back

The kids all ganged up on Bryce with their silly string-hehehe

The whole family in it's most current form-wish we would have gotten some better shots without the sun light so bright on my parents, but at least we're all there. :)
The only disappointment of the weekend with my kids and me was that it didn't last longer.  We only camped over one night, and then everyone headed home after church.  Hopefully next year we can have the 2nd annual Lloyd (and grandma wanny) Pugmire family reunion extended to 2 nights. :)

Thompson Reunion 8/12

The Wayne and Leah Thompson reunion was held at Ann's Place in Bennington this year (LOVE that spot!)  Bryce and I weren't able to camp out this year, but we went all day Saturday and had a lot of fun.

The kids had a great time with activities like digging for items in totes full of rice-like digging for treasure. :)
Buddy was happy trying to catch dragon flies

The giant pool was a great hit

In this game the little ones each had a basket tied to their back sides and the object was to try to put your own balls into the other kids' baskets and to keep yours empty.  So funny to watch!

This is one of my all time favorite pictures of Kylie.  Aunt Diane asked Shannyn Saxton Davis to come and take pics for a couple hours and they turned out great!  I this one, she caught sister while she was by the little stream of water floating popsicle stick boats that Ryan Spencer helped all the kids make.

She also did some indivual family pictures for those of us who wanted them.

This is the first time Bryce and I have gotten a picture together in years and we both thought it turned out great.

The whole fam damily... We are missing quite a few in this pic, like Quinn and Mal's family and Kevin and Matt.
One of the funnest parts of the day was that evening when there was an out door movie theater set up for the kids where they were served popcorn and licorice.  In the pavilian the adults watched slides of old family pictures and were also served yummy treats.

Harry Potter Night

We have the best public library in Bear Lake.  This summer they hosted a fun Harry Potter night.  I took Brandt and Rylie and they had a great time.  One of the highlights was being "sorted" and they were both chosen to be in the Gryffindor house (thank you Tara McMullin).  It was a fun night of games, crafts, and treats.  They both came home with a magic wand they made and a book of spells.

Swimming Lessons 2012

One of the highlights of the summer for Brandt was getting to take swimming lessons for the first time.  He went to Garden City and Jessica Ward was his teacher.  She was AMAZING with him!  He was so timid about getting in and trying but she just took him right in and by the end he was floating on his own and even going completely under the water to get dive toys!

Having his good friend Joslyn Bassett there with him helped a ton.  They had the best time together!!

Pugmire Reunion 2012

August 17th, 2012 was a greatly anticipated day for me as it marked the beginning of my favorite event of the year-The Pugmire Family Reunion. It ended up being a great day for an entirely different reason as well when we were able to close on buying my Grandpa and Grandma Pugmire's house that day. So, let's start with the reunion....  While many of the cousins I usually look forward to seeing were missing this year, a lot of our favorite relatives were here and it was one of our favorite reunions ever.  My kids had the most fun they've ever had at a reunion and already can't wait until next year!
Aunt Toni and Uncle Jaren brought over their miniature horses and let the kids have turns riding them.  The LOVED it!!

Uncle Jaren even let Brandt take a turn leading one of them around.
Amanda Jean and Kylie :)

One of our favorite cousins-Amy.  Kylie adores her-it just doesn't look like it in this picture.

 Jana, Amanda, and Papa Lloyd

The giant water slide was a hit!! (thank you Rex and Tami)

Loved that Brandt was so proud of himself for being brave and trying it!

Go Gabe!!

Kylie adores DJ-so of course she puts him in a head lock-and he lets her :)  Reminds me of a long time ago when I was the little terror who adored his dad-Jared was just as patient with me as his kids are with my kids.

She spent at least an hour conning people into rolling her yo-yo up so she could let it drop again.

I miss the days when the circle of the elders was much larger than this.  Thankful that Uncle Junior, Uncle Averil, and Aunt Maurine were able to be there this year.  (not pictured are Gloyd and Nadine and Toni and Jaren, but glad they could be there as well.)

And one of our favorite events-the water balloon sling shot.  Some of those balloons were launched clear out of the ball diamond for some home runs. :)

Bryce even got in on the action

Two of my favorite girls

I think they're up to something...

Oh yeah, that's right, Kylie kept popping balloons on whoever she could sneak up on.

Kylie and Jared aka wouger :)

These look like mug shots, but Kylie wanted to show off her face painting-butterfly on one side and princess on the other (thanks to McKayla who is a much better artist than I am.)

Buddy was pretty proud of his flag.  The Hillier's had friends from England here with them so Brandt wanted to get what they were getting.
There were so many other things that we loved about the reunion that I didn't get pictures of, like playing night games, making S'mores, digging for treasure, having a cake walk, playing with foam swords, eating good food, winning stuff at the raffle, and playing with cousins.  As always, the best part was renewing friendships and spending time with those we love.
