Brandt loves his primary teacher, Sister Jaci Keetch, so he wanted to do something special for her for her birthday a couple months ago. He colored these pictures of puppies, balloons, and hearts while he was at grandma's and as soon as I got home from work we went and taped them to her door. He wanted it to be a surprise for her when she got home from work. He didn't put his name on any of the pictures because he wanted her to try to guess who did it, but he was pretty sure she would figure it out. It's fun to watch him think of nice things to do for others and then see how happy it makes him.

First Day of Kindergarten 8/22/12
It's hard to believe that Brandt is already a kindergartener! He was happy to go back to school but kept saying things like "sometimes kindergarteners go back down to preschool," so we knew he was a little nervous about moving on. Although he misses his preschool teachers, he enjoys school and his new teachers, Mrs. Kristie Andersen and Mrs. Kathy Davidson. So far his favorite things about kindergarten are that he gets to go to recess, PE and the library. He's a little jealous of the 1st graders (who are also in his class since it's a combined one) because they get to check out 2 books when they go to the library and he only gets to check out 1.
LOVE this boy and excited to watch him grow and progress in school. Wonder how long these happy faces on the first day of school will last....
One of our favorite things about living where we do is the lake (at least for the kids and me-Bryce has a hard time getting past the messy sand). This year we decided to get a season pass and use it as much as we possibly could. We had a lot of fun; sometimes on our own, sometimes with good friends and/or family. I'm pretty sure we got our $40 worth :)
Brandt discovered that he loved to dig the biggest, longest trenches-often times leading into a "hot tub"
Whenever Gabe went with us he would find the best treasures!

1st Annual Lloyd Pugmire Family Reunion
This year we decided to have a smaller reunion just for my mom and dad's family. SO MUCH FUN!!!! Brandt looked forward to it for weeks and was so cute when he would ask if it was time for the "Lloyd Pugmire family reunion"-sometimes he would add grandma wanny into the title as well. Some of the favorite activities were the water slide, sponge dodgeball, painting rocks and faces, a nature hike, relay races, and the fun scrapbook pages my mom had them do.
All 5 grandkids-Brandt, Rylie, Amanda Jean, Kylie, and Mckenzie
Kylie thought she was pretty funny when she painted a little on her own. :)
Brandt painted his own camouflage and then went and hid behind the trees.
Kylie fell asleep on the way up the canyon for the nature hike. I still love pics of my kids when they are sleeping-so cute and peaceful!
Grandma had a list of items each kid had to find and gather
Buddy got a hold of the camera... notice the crazy elbows!
Just one of Bryce's hidden talents-face painting.
Amanda wanted a bear-not bad, Brycie!
Love her little tongue poking out
Doing the crab walk in one of the relay races
Kicken' back
The kids all ganged up on Bryce with their silly string-hehehe
The whole family in it's most current form-wish we would have gotten some better shots without the sun light so bright on my parents, but at least we're all there. :)
The only disappointment of the weekend with my kids and me was that it didn't last longer. We only camped over one night, and then everyone headed home after church. Hopefully next year we can have the 2nd annual Lloyd (and grandma wanny) Pugmire family reunion extended to 2 nights. :)
Thompson Reunion 8/12
The Wayne and Leah Thompson reunion was held at Ann's Place in Bennington this year (LOVE that spot!) Bryce and I weren't able to camp out this year, but we went all day Saturday and had a lot of fun.
The kids had a great time with activities like digging for items in totes full of rice-like digging for treasure. :)
Buddy was happy trying to catch dragon flies
The giant pool was a great hit
This is one of my all time favorite pictures of Kylie. Aunt Diane asked Shannyn Saxton Davis to come and take pics for a couple hours and they turned out great! I this one, she caught sister while she was by the little stream of water floating popsicle stick boats that Ryan Spencer helped all the kids make.
She also did some indivual family pictures for those of us who wanted them.
This is the first time Bryce and I have gotten a picture together in years and we both thought it turned out great.
One of the funnest parts of the day was that evening when there was an out door movie theater set up for the kids where they were served popcorn and licorice. In the pavilian the adults watched slides of old family pictures and were also served yummy treats.
