Happy 3rd Birthday, Princess Kylie-Part 2

We celebrated the whole day after Kylie's birthday, too.  She had fun playing with cousins and then was excited to go swimming at the pool in Garden City.  She actually had originally asked to go to the zoo.  When I told her it was probably too cold and would be closed, Brandt was quick to say, "yeah, but we could go to the San Diego zoo; it's open!"  Unfortunately that wasn't a worker, so pool it was.  Terry, Jana, and Amanda came along with Maleri and her kids.  Maleri came before we went to the pool and helped me out with Kylie's Cinderella cake.  It definitely wasn't a professional job since I struggled with getting the frosting the right consistency and didn't have small enough decorating tips. but it turned out pretty cute and sister loved it!  After we got done swimming everyone, including my parents, came to our house for pizza and cake.  Kylie got spoiled with presents and loved them of course.  Among her favorites were her princess tiara and wand, which she used all night to "zap" people into frogs.  She also loved her new bike, cinderella barbie, tea sets, and everything everyone brought her.  I still can't believe it's been 3 years since we got our little surprise!  We love her so much!

My kids were super excited to take their cousins down to Papa Lloyd's to see the new baby calf that was born this morning.  This was the first time Allee, Jo, and Bridger had been that close to a calf.  They thought it was pretty cool that one of my dad's cows was gentle enough to let them take turns petting her.  The one who had her baby even let Kylie right in with her calf.  Sometimes I forget how fortunate my kids are to have this just be a part of their every day lives, so it's nice to have the reminders that not everyone has that opportunity.
