Buddy in a Box

Today when I got to my mom's to pick up the kids, I found buddy in a box.  He had made a face on it and cut out arm holes.  I love that he can be happy and creative with such simple things-and that grandma lets him.

Pack Meeting

We had such a fun pack meeting tonight!  It was Brandt's first time participating in a flag ceremony and he did a great job!  After awards were given there were "carnival" activities for the boys and other kids in attendance.  Brandt's new leaders are my parents and he is so excited about that.

Spy Girls

Kylie loves dressing up!  One of her current favorites is to dress up like a spy girl.  Imagine her delight when her friend Delfinia, whom I was babysitting this morning before school, came with her all black "spy" clothes, too!  They had such a fun morning playing, dressing up, getting matching hairstyles, and going to the bus together!

Sunday Comics

After church, the kids and I got in the car:

   Kylie: that seemed like a short church today

   Brandt:  yeah, it must be Fast Sunday!!!

Brandt and I giggled the rest of the way home-Kylie was oblivious to the joke but laughed anyway because we did.

Tonight I spent some time one on one with Kylie after Brandt fell asleep early.

    Me: so, sis, I kinda heard that you were running through the hall with Khloe during primary today...

    Kylie:  well, the Lord didn't tell me anything but Satan said "run", so I ran!!

Kylie's Lost Tooth

This just happened! Baby girl is growing up! She wants to call all of her friends and family and Dr Doug to let them know her exciting news. And she wants me to send pictures to all of them as well. For now the Facebook announcement I posted will have to work lol...  I did let her call grandma Ellen, though.

Farm Fieldtrip

I was able to go with Brandt's 2nd grade class for the school fieldtrip to Brother Adamson's farm  It was a fun day filled with activities like beading, candle making, making stilts out of cans, and learning about the animals.  It was hard to watch Brandt go off by himself and eat alone with the bunnies, whom he said were his best friends, and I have to remind myself that it's ok-as long as he's happy I should be happy, too. One funny thing that happened was that the note that came home ahead of time said to pack a sack lunch for the day.  So, I had prepared buddy's lunch and packed it into his lunch box like usual. He had a little meltdown before getting on the bus and had to change his lunch from his lunch box into an actual plastic sack because the note said "bring a sack lunch."  

Bed Partners

Oh how we love these little dogs of ours.  Kylie is so happy to be able to have Junie B to cuddle with now that Brandt has Mollie.  It makes bedtime a lot easier!
