Minnetonka Cave

I had the opportunity to take my kids to Minnetonka Cave for the first time, and they loved it!  Of course, we were super spoiled with a private-end-of-the-day tour courtesy of Samantha Jane Hillier, whom we adore!  We invited Gabe, Aunt Jana and Amanda Jean to go with us and the kids were all pretty impressed that Jana used to work there and knew a lot about the cave as well.  Brandt especially soaked it all in, and later told me that he wants to be a geologist when he grows up so he can study stuff like that.  One of our favorite parts was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-buddy thought Doc looked like Dr. Campbell.  Other favorites were the cave bacon, the gold coins, the touching stone, the kissing spots, the porcupine bones, and the couple of giant pack rats we saw.  I was so proud of Brandt at the end of the cave when all of the lights were turned off and he didn't freak out like he would have prior to working on that phobia with Shaun.  Kylie stuck to Sammi most of the time and had more energy than any of us going up and down all those stairs.  She learned her newest favorite word "awkward" from Sam and has been saying it over and over.  Another favorite part of the cave experience was the friendly squirrels outside of the cave that would come right over to the kids.  What a fun and educational experience!
