Miracle Mom and Baby

I have always known my sister Jana is amazing and strong, but this pregnancy tried her to her very limits.  I've never known anyone who has had as many health challenges during a pregnancy as she has had.  From severe morning sickness to kidney stones and renal blockages, she has had to fight every step of the way to keep herself and this precious baby alive.  I have been so thankful for the support and help she's had from Terry as well as his family and their ward members who have helped her when we couldn't. There have been so many  prayers and fasting that have been offered on her behalf in addition to many acts of kindness toward their family. Today was the day when all of her suffering and hard work was paid for in full as they brought their miracle baby, Savanna, into the world.   What a beautiful, precious baby who was lovingly welcomed by her family. The feeling in that hospital room as we saw her for the first time was one of peace and love.  Brandt especially approached her with an air of reverence, even taking off his hat when he got close to her.  He just stood there gazing at her with love in his eyes, and it was amazing! It was such a special experience to finally get to see her and cuddle her, knowing that at least for this moment in time, all is well.  How thankful I am for a sister who fought so hard to bring her into our family and for a loving Heavenly Father who made it possible!
